I was diagnosed with HIV in June, 2005 – three days before my 23rd birthday. Since then, I've made it a mission to foster awareness of HIV/AIDS in our community and promote prevention, education, and assistance surrounding the disease. I celebrate the advances that we've made in treatment and research, but there's still so much to do. HIV infections are currently INCREASING in Arizona. We need to take action as a community.
AIDS Walk Arizona raises funds for 16 organizations throughout the Valley that provide life-saving support to people of all ages and walks of life who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. A variety of these organizations have helped me throughout the years and it's my job now to return the favor! Please donate if you can!
